Firefox Add-ons

I have written the following add-ons (extensions) and Greasemonkey scripts for the Mozilla Firefox browser. They are provided "as is," but I use them regularly in my own legal research.

Search Add-ons

The following Firefox add-ons add a search plugin to the top right corner of Firefox. They allow the user to enter a citation and retrieve the document (case, statute, law review article, etc.).

LexisNexis Citation Search
LexisNexis Citation Search
This search engine add-on can be used to perform the Get by Citation function in LexisNexis (Lexis) to retrieve cases, statutes, law review & journal articles, etc. Must be signed in to a valid LexisNexis account with appropriate subscription access. See Legal Disclaimer.

lexisONE Citation Search
lexisONE Citation Search
This search engine add-on can be used to perform the Search by Citation feature on lexisONE to retrieve cases. No account is required to perform the search and view the results, but a free lexisONE account is required to read the full text of cases. See Legal Disclaimer.

Westlaw Citation Search
Westlaw Citation Search
This search engine add-on can be used to perform the Find Citation function in Westlaw to retrieve cases, statutes, law review & journal articles, etc. Must be signed in to a valid Westlaw account with appropriate subscription access. See Legal Disclaimer.

Greasemonkey Scripts

These are scripts for use with the Greasemonkey add-on for the Mozilla Firefox browser. To use these scripts, first install the Greasemonkey add-on and then install the scripts.

  LexisNexis Page Title
This script will delete unnecessary information from the page title for pages in LexisNexis. It will:
1. Delete "Get a Document - by Citation - "
2. Delete "FOCUS - 1 Result - "
3. Delete "FOCUS - i Results - " (where "i" is the number of results)
4. Delete "Search - 1 Result - "
5. Delete "Search - i Results - " (where "i" is the number of results)
6. Delete "Check a Citation - "
See Legal Disclaimer.

VA Supreme Court Rules Page Title
This script will delete unnecessary information from the page title from Virginia's Legislative Information System Supreme Court Rules website. It will replace "LIS > Supreme Court Rules > vscr-" with "VSCR " and will append " (VA Supreme Court Rules)" to the end of the title.
